TTU Robotics Team wins Second Place in the Fire Fightimg Robot Competetion
The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society at Tafila Technical University won second place in the firefighting robots competition "Fire Fighting Robot Contest 4th"
, held at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The competition witnessed the participation of more than 14 teams from various universities in Jordan.
TTU's representation involved a team of students from Intelligent Systems Engineering, including Abdul Qader Daad, Hamza Al-Bazour, Mays Abu Sal, and Rayan Al Marayat,
under the supervision of Dr. Abdul-Ilah Al-Shabbat, with support from the DeCAIR project.
Dr. Murad Alaqtash, the RAS advisor and the DeCAIR project coordinator at TTU, highlighted that this achievement marks a significant milestone for the RAS, established in September 2021. The award is a testament to the success of the DeCAIR project, aimed at enhancing practical skills for students in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
