Activities

The first face-to-face meeting of the DeCAIR was held at the University of Jordan, organized by the International Affairs Unit/Department of Externally Funded Projects, and the project team.

During the meeting, various work packages were presented, and the most prominent achievements in each of them were discussed, planning for the next stage was also conducted. The project coordinator, Dr. Gheith Abandah, presented the reports of the field visits in Lebanon and Jordan, and discussed them with the project team.

The Vice President for Scientific Schools, Dr. Inaam Khalaf, met with the project coordinator, Dr. Gheith Abandah, and reviewed the project’s outputs and discussed opportunities for cooperation with partner universities, praising the efforts of those in charge of the project.

The face-to-face meeting included two workshops that included technical meetings to develop curricula with the aim of establishing a master's program in artificial intelligence at the University of Jordan.

It is noteworthy that the (DeCAIR) project implemented under the leadership of the University of Jordan aims to develop a new master’s program in artificial intelligence and robotics (AIR - Artificial Intelligence and Robotics) at the University of Jordan, a new bachelor’s program in Intelligent Systems Engineering at Tafila Technical University, and AIR courses for current bachelor’s and master’s programs at Jordanian and Lebanese partner universities.
