Developing Curricula for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

September 29, 2023 - As part of its capacity building activities, the DeCAIR project carried out a 4-day training course in Granada, Spain from 25 to 28 September 2023. This course was organized by the University of Granada and hosted in its School of Technology and Telecommunications Engineering. The participants included 12 faculty members participating physically and 24 faculty members and students participating remotely.
This training course covered theoretical and practical aspects of the following topics:
* Natural Language Processing: Introduction, preprocessing text data, text similarity measures, machine learning for text data, topic modeling, word embeddings, conversational systems, traditional dialogue systems, large language models for conversational interactions, platforms, resources, tools, main application domains, and building a conversational system with DialogFlow.
* Reinforcement Learning: Introduction, classical reinforcement learning, neural networks for reinforcement learning, deep reinforcement learning, and further methodologies and platforms.
The course was led by instructors from the University of Granada: Juan Huete, Manuel Pegalajar, Zoraida Callejas, David Griol, and Juan Gomez.​
